the ultimate high-end fly fishing destination

The Jemas Ranch property is steeped in Wyoming cattle farming tradition. The ranch dates back to the start of Wyoming cattle farming, with deeded water rights dating back to the 1800s. Cattle still rule more than 300 acres of the property, alongside a new guest ranch covering about 20 acres. Jemas Ranch is located in the small town of Daniel, Wyoming, about ten minutes from Pinedale and an hour outside Jackson Hole.

Jemas Ranch was born out of a love of family and a love of fly fishing. The owners, Jeff & Michelle, have been dedicated to restoring the biodiversity of the property, working in partnership with federal and state agencies.

Today, hundreds of species once again inhabit the guest ranch area. Prairie Creek, a beautiful, natural spring creek that winds around the property, is in the final phase of its restoration and will be ready for fishing in 2026.

We've carefully planned Jemas Ranch to be a premier fly fishing destination for family and friends. It's secluded in nature, yet feels very welcoming. This tranquil retreat sits an elevation of about 7,200 ft  along the Green River, surrounded by the Wyoming Range to the west and the Wind River Range to the east. The sunrises and sunsets over the mountains are breathtaking and we can't wait to share them with you. We hope you have the adventure of a lifetime here!

We’ve replanted grasslands and are continuing work with Wyoming Fish and Game on stream restoration. The reclamation work done on the existing lakes, ponds and creeks has been a painstaking labor of love. For stream channel restoration, our efforts in dredging and rebuilding banks has resulted in a restored trout habitat that sparkles. We enhanced the natural beauty with lakes and ponds ranging from 12 acres down to 2 acres. As a result of our vision the fishing is fantastic on the property. We have Browns, Rainbows, Cutthroat, Brookies & Tiger trout.

To create an unparalleled experience for our guests, our private vacation homes are located along the meandering spring creek called Prairie Creek, with views of water and wildlife.

Each of the four luxury homes has special amenities and touches, from indoor and outdoor fireplaces to original art by local artists and Jeff's mom!

There are several rehabilitated 100-year old homestead structures on the property - a homestead and shed. The homestead is now a community gathering space called the Whiskey Barn.

We've also added a bath house, a communal fire pit, and there's plenty of space just to wander the grounds after a day fishing on the water.

Jeff caught his first trout on a fly at 11 years old. He has been fly-fishing for over 50 years! At 14 years old, he held the Pennsylvania state record brook trout. Although he's been all over the world fly fishing, he truly believes that this property is the most special and his favorite. As he says, it's truly a slice of heaven in Wyoming.
